Here in downtown Bellingham this last week they were tearing down another building at the old Georgia Pacific pulp mill. This is to make way for new water front development. I can't help but wonder what's going to happen to all this wonderful new development in the not too distant future. According to this website it's all going to be under water as sea levels rise. That assumes it survives that long. That whole part of downtown is built on fill. When the long overdue "Big One" hits, the ground will liquify taking whatever is on it to the bottom of the ocean.
More next week,
