I'm back from two weeks in the Southwest. We were mostly in Southern Utah but a little bit in Nevada as well.
The big part of the trip was a six day hike down Paria Canyon and Buckskin Gulch in southern Utah. Both are narrow canyons that you don't want to be in when it rains. You can get a sense of that in the image above(and that's not even the narrowest part. There are parts of Buckskin where you can touch both walls that go 800 feet straight up). Flash floods are a constant danger. Well, it rained cats and dogs the day after we got out. I mean torrential rain. We were lucky we got out when we did.
Here are a couple more images. For me it was all about light, shadow and texture.
I haven't had a chance to go thru all my images yet but as i do, I'll post some more.
