Portraits

I got an email from the Anchorage Museum in Anchorage, Alaska the other day. I had sold a print to them many years ago when I was still living there. They were updating their records and are planning on using it in an up coming show. This is the image they bought, which I've posted here before. It's always been a favorite of mine.

This got me thinking about portraits. It's not something I do very often and I don't pretend to be very good at it, but for many years I would to an annual portrait of my grandson that I would distribute to the family every Christmas. Here's one of my favorites from a couple of years ago.

Sadly, he's a full fledged teenager now, so getting him to cooperate in the process is a little more difficult. Oh well.

More next week.
