This Friday, the 19th, I'm off to Glacier Bay to co-teach a photography workshop. I'm teaching with John D'Onofrio, editor and publisher of Adventures NW magazine on the David B, a converted fishing trawler. I'm looking forward to it, in fact I'm trying to organize my stuff as we speak(type?).
The image above is from the one and only time I've been in Glacier Bay. It was part of a three month kayak trip a friend and I did thru Southeast Alaska in the summer of 1978. It's going to be interesting to see how much has changed over the intervening years. I'm sure the glaciers have receded quite a bit. I also imagine places that had recently receded in '78 will now have new vegetation. We'll see.
Needless to say, I'll be out of internet range for a few weeks, but I'll have images and stories when I get back.
